Puerto Rico is known for having very high specialty coffee due to its volcanic soil, high elevation, and cool climate. Our coffee is 100% Arabica Specialty Ground Coffee that is shade grown on a local family farm in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. Only the Red Cherry Bean is picked. We are most proud of the fact that we pay our coffee farmers US wages (since Puerto Rico is part of America), which is substantially higher than what most coffee farmers get paid in various other coffee producing countries. On a vacation to Puerto Rico I went to visit a coffee farm and was told Puerto Rico used to be one of the largest coffee producers in the world. After returning to the states, I kept thinking about what the farmer said and made it a goal of mine to share this high end coffee with the rest of the world. I hope you enjoy it.
